Thinking of IQ

After recent post I started to think about Intelligence Quotient. How smart or stupid world population actually is? This is going to be case study of world population as whole on IQ levels.

World population and IQ level

Today, as of World Bank data on earth lives ~6973738433 people. IQ average level is to be said covering 65%. Average IQ itself is from 85 to 114, 100 being the mid point of a bell curve.

Breakdown of intelligence by points

• 1 to 24 - Profound mental disability
• 25 to 39 - Severe mental disability
• 40 to 54 - Moderate mental disability
• 55 to 69 - Mild mental disability
• 70 to 84 - Borderline mental disability
• 85 to 114 - Average intelligence
• 115 to 129 - Above average; bright
• 130 to 144 - Moderately gifted
• 145 to 159 - Highly gifted
• 160 to 179 - Exceptionally gifted
• 180 and up - Profoundly gifted

So an average intelligence has some 4,53 billion of worlds population. Mental disability of various levels has some 1,21 billion people according to bell curve principles and the fact 65% is in between the average IQ points to be true, thus the same approximate amount of human beings fall into gifted category.

A genius is to be said over 160 IQ points, so how many people of the world falls into this category? By my calculations approximately 54,9 million people falls into genius category of modern times. But to ask question - where are they when fictional financial crisis are being made, when half Africa starves and when free energy is possible to discover. Or do they hide a secret knowledge of keeping the mouth shut in fear of being disgraced? Answer your self.
